If the temperature of universe decreases more, pairs of particles and anti-particles disappear. Actually, before the temperature cools down, particles and anti-particles disappear by crashing, but they also form and produce at the same time, so they never disappear completely.
So particles and anti-particles crash into each other and disappear. If more and more disappear, there will be nothing and the universe will return to a condition with only light. Particles and anti-particles are born in pairs, which means that there is same number of those. They disappear in pairs, so in the end, there will be nothing left.
But if particles completely disappear, this means that stars and all matter including us would not exist. There are enough particles to form whole worlds, so it must mean that sometime during the course of time, the amount of particles increased.

When the anti-particles disappeared in this way, and protons, electrons, and neutrons began to float in universe this time, the protons and neutrons started to gather. In the beginning, one proton and one electron simply stuck together. This is the atomic nucleus of deuterium. Then a neutron stuck to the compound of one electron and proton. This became the atomic nucleus of tritium. And one more proton was added to form the atomic nucleus of helium with 2 protons and 2 neutrons.
Helium's atomic nucleus was stable, which meant it was unlikely to break. When 1 proton was added to helium, or 2 helium were added together, their condition became unstable, and rarely existed. The heavy atoms corrupted due to their high temperature. The majority of those that existed were helium's atomic nucleus, and lithium's atomic nucleus formed from 1 proton that was taken away from a compound of 2 helium. Matter from then on was made with this as the base.
